Duane Cherry, Sr.

Duane Cherry is the face and leader of DACC General Construction (DACC). A long-time visionary and committed worker in the field, Duane strives to develop, implement, and integrate strong concepts for project delivery and innovative contracting strategies at the state and federal levels. He is also responsible for the company’s growth and development nationally with plans to grow the company internationally. Before the start of DACC, Duane learned the construction business and industry 26 years ago from the foundation up, working in various roles from laborer, carpenter, foreman, general contractor, and superintendent mastering his trade and being involved in both residential and commercial infrastructure. Duane decided to pursue a lifelong ambition to start and run his own construction company that is client-focused, reliable, that maximizes transparency, mitigates project risks, and promotes safe job sites. While construction and building are his passions, Duane is committed to DACC as a company that is grounded in culture, humility, loyalty, and unmatched ambition.

CEO

Anita Caraway

Anita Caraway represents DACC General Construction (DACC) by providing a diverse workplace in the construction and building industry. Anita decided to join her son and CEO of DACC to form a family minority-owned company recognized for producing great work but also influencing and encouraging gender equality in the field. After leaving the United States Army, Anita decided to go into business for herself. She has 22 years of sole proprietorship of multi-business ownership and operations. As part of her role as COO, Anita takes great interest in instilling the importance of excellent customer care and service within the company. She also strives to make DACC a successful family minority-owned company by exceeding the company’s mission and vision by being a role model for women in construction as well as taking on the role of Director of Health and Safety to ensure worksite compliance and safety for all projects. Anita intends to stand in her roles, learn as much as she can in the industry, maximize health and safety measures as well as training, and create more opportunities for the growing construction market.

Ivy Ward is a multi-talented business professional who serves on DACC’s management team. She has 9 plus years managing teams and projects in various business sectors. Ivy has been tasked with the oversight and supervision of DACC’s daily operations, tasking assignments to staff and sub-contractors, organizing and managing projects, and maintaining accurate records just to name a few. Ivy has obtained the necessary skills and training to perform in her dual role with the company demonstrating strength and number for women in the construction industry. With her skills, knowledge, and drive, Ivy is prepared the take action and help DACC thrive and execute.

Keisha Walker

Keisha Walker has a unique background in business having worked in many capacities and levels of the business sector. She joined DACC at its start of inception to the present. Keisha presents many business skills including business development, management, administration, coordination, and planning with so much more to offer. As a part of the team, Keisha is dedicated to helping DACC exceed its mission and vision, help foster professional business practices, streamline operations, and see to it that our products and services align with the company’s organizational goals and objectives. When it comes to leadership, Keisha’s business tenacity helps her be creative, resourceful, and adaptable to the day-to-day processes of DACC. The bonus is she is married to help the CEO and COO tackle challenges with the use of professionalism, honesty, compassion, and integrity while also keeping the team connected and organized for a positive and successful experience.
